Champion of the Woooooooorld...

jimmy_lange_contender

I went to see Jimmy Lange vs. Perry Ballard at the Patriot Center Saturday night. Good. Lord. Boxing is now up there on my list of favourite live sports to watch (along with playoff hockey and college hoops). It's boring as shit to watch on TV, but a live viewing is mayhem. The noise, the energy, the 'pump me up' music, the half-naked men with about 2% body fat kicking the shit out of each other...

Very, VERY hot.

I'm now entertaining thoughts of being the next million dollar baby...

Oh I have always wanted to go to a boxing match! That's hot!

To go with your theme of hot physical activity, eh? ;)

Can you imagine what going to an "Ultimate Fighting" event must be like?

One of the Playaz sponsored a guy recently, hoping he'd make it up the ladder to UFC, but he lost.

One day my trainer showed up with what I refer to as "tiny and cute" red Everlast gloves. He thought I might like to learn how to box. I also had good reason, at the time, for wanting to pound the shit out of something. Turns out he was right. I took right to it. Go for it, Miss Cookie.

I think this guy was on "The Contender"

I don't think he did so well on the show, did he win?

Yes, he was on the Contender. He lost during week 8, but was brought back as the 'fan favourite.'

On another note, he won by TKO on Saturday in the 4th round. I think his record is now something like 22-2-1. He's definitely up-and-coming.

Boxing makes me very uncomfortable to watch. I just don't get why people want to beat each other up.
However, hitting the bag or doing the moves are a great workout!

I know what you mean, Chase. I am a squirmypants when it comes to any sort of violence... I just can't tolerate it at all.
