Breakfast

I admit it. I am the one who cuts the outside corners off of the danishes at breakfast and eats just a small bite. I don't want the whole thing. So I share. For those of you who are upset at the 3/4 of a danish sitting in the breakfast tray, feel free to step into my office to discuss.

    You're one of those people...?
Good, me too. I'll leave half of a bagel on a tray and hope that someone else takes the other half. I know I'm not the only one who only wants half of a bagel.

    Sharing means caring.

according to the economic law of diminishing marginal returns, each bite that you take of that danish brings you less pleasure than the bite before. i say, you go girl. cut that danish.

Hmm...I'm the one that will eat the entire thing, and then yours too....I need to adopt this 'portion control' thing you have all seemed to have mastered....

Control with food...not with alcohol :-)

I'd be careful of using the word "danish." Someone may think you're referring to cartoons and riot. From now on, please use the words "sweet circular pastry."

Who wants a quarter-eaten danish? How do you know who ate it? And in what fashion?

It's one thing if I know Cookie cut off the corners...its another if Melvin from accounting chowed on part of it and discarded the remains.

Isn't that funny? I feel self-censorship coming on when I see the words "cut danish."

yesterday, there was a poorly attended lunch meeting with sandwiches left over...i walked into the kitchen to find the sandwich tray with several pieces of just bread laying there...someone had taken all the filling out but left the bread. that is weird...

As long as you *cut* it, it's all good. People who get their grubby hands all over something and then put it back...eh...I've seen the statistics about how many people don't wash their hands after using the bathroom, after all. But I've been known to only want 1/2 a bagel or danish myself.

I commented in Starbucks recently that I would buy their yummy cakes and other temptations if they sold just mini-size pieces. If I bought the whole thing I would eat the whole thing, so I don't buy them at all.

I was raised by a "Clean Your Plate" principal, and have to make myself not do that as an adult.

Eat a little bit! Who cares?

But, I would remove the evidence.

I like to keep my "special needs" outta the office breakroom, but you go on and work it out.

    :)
