New Scene
You know DC is in need of something new when Miss 'Go Out 5 Nights a Week' (aka, DC Cookie) would rather chill on the couch watching movies, curl up in bed with a good logic puzzle, go for a long jog or a road trip out of town, than be social. I'm bored with DC nightlife. Somebody do something...

More than a 100K fine & interesting people show up in DC for the weekend, and there's nothing to do?? If there was ever anytime to meet anyone new in town, this weekend was it. We'd have to build a time machine to schedule more folks in town at the same time. Swell folks too. you should have gone and partied with them! Cheers, 'VJ'

I agree with both of the above. 5 nights a week sounds like a lot. Maybe a break from "the scene" will refresh you for a come-back, or maybe [sigh] you're just getting older and finding that a night in once in a while to be a nice breather.

I disagree. I think the problem is that you have to trek into DC. Believe me, if you lived right there, going out would not be a problem.

You need to follow The Guv'na's detox plan...
1. find a pool by the ocean,
2. lay by pool in mink (or any fur will do)
3. just sweat it all out.

Hashing is 'a drinking group with a running problem.' I think it was something started up by the British Army. Very fun.
I'm running the 10-miler this weekend. I think that might help.
