Movie Script Idea

LMR – I need your assistance. I have a fabulous idea for a B-movie script that I thought you might be able to pen.

It’s called ‘War of the Blogs.’ It will be based in Washington DC. The concept: two blog-writing acquaintances (the suave, politically correct Congressman and the blithe, impertinent Gigolo), each begin a blog with opposing perspectives and ideals. In a short time, both blogs become popular, fueled by a large and highly opinionated readership. Reader comments heat up. The acquaintances grow apart. One day...boom! A slander-fest ensues. Tempers flare. Innocent parties are skewered. Not sure how it ends yet…might need some assistance from my screenwriter.

Shit, what? That’s already been done? GAH (thank you Lucy)! Back to the brainstorming…

Who would've thought it? I guess now you can film it and call it a documentary.

I thought it was called "You've Got Mail"?

At the end of this movie, Senator and DCB fall in love.

ahhh ..Topic doesn’t interest me. What does interest me...is when someone I’m close with is negatively affected.
    That person deserves far better.

Big Man talk big Blog. ..He feels threatened. He needs to prove something.
His insecurities start to unravel, so he takes out his frustrations out in various ways. Can he live up to his on-line persona? Who cares? ... All rivers run clean eventually. All shall be revealed with time.

I think it would be far more interesting to do a retrospective of the pre-blog months. The months leading up to the blog, the characters affiliated with such.
This is a political town. Toss it around. Wear it as you want. People trade in caricatures & facades. Some people tend to be exaggerated versions of themselves, pending on situations. Others have multiple facades… Chameleons, brown-nosers, fabrication artists, soapbox preachers, etc. There are always suprises of integrity, and those are friends you cherish. It's a pity to get wrapped up in the mess of the rest. This is nothing more than hyped up trash-talking, on-line hijinks of what goes on in the real word. Only here it’s documented on the world wide web.

LMR I feel like you just wrote the trailer for the movie..

you hear those words as you see clips of people reading and then angrily commenting on various blogs.. screenshots of blogger.com templates... then it fades to black and the title comes up:

    Mission Imbloggable

coming to a theater near you.

    Cookie--you funny.

Was it just me, or did anyone else feel a little hurt by that post? I didn't want to join the fray since I broke so many of the "rules." But, a blog with nothing personal is just so...boring! And, why must they all conform to one standard? It's a big blog world with room for all of us...(cue schmaltzy music)

Nah Jamy - nothing to be offended by. First, yours is very catchy with the 'grateful for:' thing you have in each post. Secretly, I'm envious and wish I'd thought of that first. Second, I've been reading CPMC for a while, and they've broken every rule they nagged about in that post. Just because they don't 'title' their posts 'random thoughts' doesn't mean the thoughts aren't random.

He who casts the first stone...

I'd call the movie Pots and Kettles.

Or if you want to make it sound more avant garde, Kitchen Appurtenances.
