Minor League Baseball

Men in uniform - Yum. Tight uniforms - Yummier. Athletes in tight uniforms - Yummiest!

CougarsBaseball

It's official. I love Single A baseball players. I went to see the West Michigan Whitecaps vs. the Kane County Cougars last night. I was in lust with about half the players. A bunch of low maintenance, 18-24 year old, well built, aspiring athlete, country boy, tadpoles in tight pants, about 5 feet from my seat.

I cheered for both teams.

I could say similar things about UVa's jv cheerleading squad (the one at the end zone during football games), but that would make me a dirty old man.

Odd, I was a baseball player for 75% of my current lifespan, and yet I don't remember ever drooling once, unless I was choking on sunflower seeds.

However, I do see the humor in a male sports team being called the "Whitecaps." Doesn't anyone think about these names?

Oh and Linz, I could be wrong, but I think most women seem to find John Patterson to their liking.

Cap'n - It's the girls and the gays who do the drooling at the baseball games, not the players themselves.

I think you're thinking a little too hard about the name, actually.

Besides, there are the USL (United Soccer Leagues) Division 1 Vancouver Whitecaps - among others.

    just for purposes of clarity:

Most girls loves minor league baseball players...until they find out that they make $850 a month, and have a better chance of getting struck by lightning than making it to the Majors.

How funny! I just wrote my post for today about minor leaguers. Your comment reminds me of something I read in a Weingarten chat once:

    --------------------------

The best seat in the house: That's what's cool about low-minor league baseball, too: for a few bucks, you can talk to the players in the on-deck circle.

Last time we sat on the screen (well, not on it, but touching it), the wives had fun checking out the young guys' um, cups, and we had fun telling the young guys that the wives were checking them out. The best part was watching the 18-year-olds trying not to smile.

Maybe the number 19 is their age. Wouldn't that be funny? They are assigned "age" numbers to wear so that their female fans can say, "Nope. Tadpole. Too young. Toss him back." And yes, Cookie, they are yummy.

Now you're talking sister! I mean this is quality low cost entertainment. It's a traditional well appreciated spectator sport that's been around forever. And there's nothing wrong with cheap entertainment! If we could get more folks out to minor league games everyone would be better off. It's the way the game was meant to be played. You can yell to your favorites and watch them grin. Try it sometime! There's a cheap thrill for 'ya. [And if you happen to drop your number on a heavyweight card, it stands a good chance of being at least seen].

    Cheers & Good Luck, 'VJ'

Occasionally it may be a sensible idea to select reputable brands to design your house. You will radiate confidence with the environment you encounter. However, it is not just for this purpose that you really want the greatest brands to purchase. Each is distinctive and provides your house a different type of décor. The choices you choose rely on your own particular requirements and needs.
