Pressed (adjective):

  1. Desiring attention and seeking it via socially questionable means.
  2. Clinging to an out-of-date trend; requiring a stylist.
  3. Desperate to accomplish the impossible.
  4. Sexually anxious.
  5. Lingering where unwelcome; bothersome.
  6. Annoyingly eager.
  7. Exhibiting characteristics of a sycophant; phony.
  8. Lacking patience or the ability to relax; intense.
  9. Requiring frequent reassurance; needy.
  10. Boastful; cocky.

    cocky: overly self-assertive or self-confident. arrogant: having or displaying a sense of overbearing self-worth or self-importance.

    Okay - so they mean different things, and perhaps I was going for 'arrogant' here. However; in this cookie's opinion, anyone who is 'overly' anything (including overly nice) is, by default, pressed...
